Senior Fire Scientist (Spain Only)

Responsibilities

• ▹Integrate into the 15-person Fire Science team and adapt to its various workflows
• ▹Process spatial data and perform numerical analysis
• ▹Run statistical analyses and apply machine learning and AI models
• ▹Collaborate with other teams to improve company-wide processes
• ▹Contribute to automating validation procedures by programming processes that monitor the results of the company's products and their inputs
• ▹Document analysis results and contribute to reports, presentations, and scientific publications

Requirements

• ▹Degree in forestry engineering or similar
• ▹At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
• ▹Experience in forestry projects, particularly wildfire projects
• ▹Experience in wildfire science and/or management: incident response, fuel management, fire investigation, etc.

Nice to have

• ▹PhD in fire science
• ▹Practical knowledge of spatial fire behavior modeling and fire weather
• ▹GIS knowledge (ArcGIS Pro, R, Python)
