Backend Tech Lead (Java)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Technically lead a squad, defining architecture and development standards for critical backend systems
• ▹Conduct code reviews, define versioning guidelines and ensure advanced Git practices
• ▹Design, implement and maintain complex CI/CD pipelines integrating multiple services and environments in a distributed architecture (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker)
• ▹Ensure best security practices, authentication (OAuth2), monitoring and observability (Grafana)
• ▹Make technical decisions based on trade-off analysis of algorithms, data structures and performance in high-load systems
• ▹Drive the use of generative AI (Copilot, Claude Code) to increase team productivity and delivery quality

Requirements

• ▹Advanced mastery of Java (Spring Boot) and experience with PostgreSQL
• ▹Solid experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes/EKS orchestration and AWS services (ECS, RDS, ALB/NLB, S3, Bedrock)
• ▹Implementation of CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
• ▹Definition and application of RESTful API standards, OAuth2 authentication and Kafka messaging
• ▹Advanced knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform) and robust security practices
• ▹Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging and observability (Grafana)

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with canary or blue-green deployment strategies
• ▹Experience in projects that used machine learning for backend automation or optimization
• ▹Test automation for complex CI/CD pipelines
• ▹Prior experience with observability tools beyond Grafana (e.g. Prometheus, New Relic)
• ▹Adoption or customization of generative AI platforms across the full development lifecycle
