Senior Software Engineer (Furnishing Platform)

Responsibilities

• ▹Own and deliver strategic outcomes: define and deliver quarterly and long-term goals
• ▹Lead engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems
• ▹Shape architecture and technical strategy for backend systems across multiple teams
• ▹Collaborate cross-functionally with product, analytics, and design
• ▹Champion operational excellence: establish monitoring, alerting, and recovery practices
• ▹Mentor and grow talent through code/design reviews and technical leadership
• ▹Author technical proposals and share best practices via documentation and tech talks
• ▹Participate in an on-call rotation

Requirements

• ▹4+ years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed backend systems, with strong Kotlin skills (Python a plus)
• ▹Proven track record delivering high-volume, highly available systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes (Airflow, Spark a plus)
• ▹Experience defining technical strategy for complex, cross-team initiatives
• ▹Operational rigor: building resilient systems with monitoring, alerting, and safe deployment practices
• ▹Leadership and influence: mentoring engineers, unblocking teams
• ▹Strong verbal and written communication skills
