Responsibilities

• ▹Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, leading engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems
• ▹Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation and technical constraints
• ▹Proactively identify project, process, technology, or business issues and lead in solving them
• ▹Create and monitor metrics, support keep-the-lights-on efforts and on-call rotation
• ▹Improve code review and design standards, foster a culture of quality and ownership
• ▹Develop talent on the team through feedback, guidance, and mentoring

Requirements

• ▹4+ years of experience as a software engineer
• ▹Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale with Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
• ▹Experience shipping front-end applications
• ▹Experience defining a technical plan for a significant feature or system component
• ▹Experience making significant, safe changes in a large codebase
• ▹Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team
