Senior Java Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Build a scalable, reusable platform that enables efficient operational processes
• ▹Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of the tooling platform
• ▹Standardize operational processes through common abstractions, reliable data, and out-of-the-box backoffice tools
• ▹Incrementally build new capabilities on top of legacy systems to support their eventual decommissioning

Requirements

• ▹Strong experience with Java and the Spring framework
• ▹Experience working with asynchronous message queues
• ▹Experience with microservices architecture
• ▹Great communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• ▹Able to work independently while being a strong team player in frequent cross-team collaboration
• ▹Able to break complex projects into incremental, customer-value-delivering milestones
• ▹Follows best coding practices, code reviews, and open feedback culture
• ▹Puts data and API design at the center of technical decisions
