Team Coach for SMHI's Development Teams

SMHI's, the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute's, IT Development unit is looking for an experienced team coach to support several development teams in building agile ways of working and sustainable delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Coach teams in agile ways of working and principles
  • Facilitate planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Support teams in identifying and removing obstacles
  • Create transparency around priorities and deliveries
  • Develop collaboration within and between teams
  • Drive continuous improvement of working methods and processes
  • Contribute to a culture of learning, transparency, feedback, and psychological safety
  • Initially facilitate two teams while taking part in SMHI's broader agile transformation

Requirements

  • Several years of work experience in agile coaching of software development teams, as team coach, scrum master, team lead, or similar
  • Post-secondary education in systems development and/or leadership, or equivalent competence acquired another way
  • Experience and ability to drive greater team autonomy, shorter lead times, better quality, and increased psychological safety
  • Knowledge and practical experience with Kanban and/or Scrum
  • A data-driven approach, proposing changes based on facts
  • Knowledge of agile ways of working and agile culture
  • A servant leadership mindset
  • Good Swedish and English skills, spoken and written

Nice to have

  • Experience with agile transformation
  • Value stream mapping experience
  • Coaching leadership per an established methodology, e.g. GROW or NÖHRAfun
  • Experience from a scientific organization
  • Knowledge of group development models, e.g. IMGD model or similar
