Junior Systems Developer

Sweden's e-Health Agency (E-hälsomyndigheten) is looking for a junior systems developer to join an agile team, learn from experienced colleagues, and help build the national digital health infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an agile team in close collaboration with analysts and subject-matter specialists, continuously delivering value
  • Share responsibility with the team for the quality of the code produced
  • Develop components that serve as the backbone for integrations and e-services, making healthcare more connected and efficient

Requirements

  • At least 180 ECTS credits (~3 years) of higher education in IT, software or programming (must be completed before starting)
  • Good knowledge of object-oriented programming, e.g. Java or a similar language
  • Understanding of version control
  • Awareness of different types of software testing and secure software development
  • Knowledge of web development and/or backend principles
  • Understanding and use of basic data structures such as lists, queues, stacks, hash tables, trees and graphs
  • Ability to solve technical and computational problems through programming, and to justify choices of algorithms and data structures

Nice to have

  • Experience with technologies/tools such as Java, SQL, Git, Linux, modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Vue)
  • Understanding of microservice architecture, REST, OCI containers and Kubernetes
  • Awareness of different types of software testing and secure software development
  • Experience from an internship, summer job or thesis project in software development
