Application Operations Engineer (Banking Systems)

Responsibilities

• ▹Day-to-day operation and monitoring of banking applications
• ▹Investigating incidents, resolving errors, and managing tickets
• ▹Performing operational tasks related to Oracle databases
• ▹Writing, modifying, and optimizing SQL and PL/SQL queries
• ▹Ensuring the operation of business-critical systems
• ▹Participating in system upgrades and change management processes
• ▹Collaborating with development, infrastructure, and business teams
• ▹Maintaining operational documentation
• ▹Participating in root cause analysis and developing long-term solutions

Requirements

• ▹At least 5 years of application operations experience
• ▹Confident knowledge of Oracle databases
• ▹At least 3-4 years of PL/SQL experience
• ▹Daily experience writing SQL queries independently
• ▹Experience operating enterprise-level applications
• ▹Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills
• ▹Ability to work both independently and in a team

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with application operations at a bank or financial institution
• ▹Knowledge of Linux
• ▹Knowledge of OpenShift
• ▹ITIL mindset
• ▹Experience with Incident and Change Management processes
