Responsibilities

• ▹Lead a team of about 8 developers with a leadership style built on accountability and trust rather than control
• ▹Play a key role in transitioning the technology stack toward a scalable architecture
• ▹Hold regular 1:1s, provide feedback, and support the team's development
• ▹Develop the team's skills, support career paths, and maintain a healthy, motivating work environment
• ▹Challenge technical choices, ensure best practices are followed, and oversee quality (DoR, DoD, reviews, tests, technical debt)
• ▹Help raise the team's maturity in CI/CD, architecture, and tooling
• ▹Give rhythm and visibility to deliverables, secure release reliability, and identify and remove organizational or technical blockers
• ▹Provide clear, useful reporting, communicate vision and decisions to the team, and participate in cross-team discussions with other Engineering Managers and management
• ▹Experiment with and spread AI-based practices within the team

Requirements

• ▹Successful prior management experience, ideally at a software company or with a technical team
• ▹Prior experience as a developer
• ▹Good web and project management culture, in web-service-based architectures
• ▹Ability to understand and challenge distributed architectures
• ▹Ease collaborating with varied technical profiles (backend, frontend, QA, product)
