Responsibilities

• ▹Architect, build, test, and refine Gusto's iOS app and embedded web views
• ▹Use AI agents as a multiplier for high-quality output
• ▹Identify and advocate for best practices, architecture, and process
• ▹Maintain iOS infrastructure: build pipelines, testing automation, release process
• ▹Build and scale foundational services: push notifications, accessibility, localization
• ▹Develop product features integrating core business functions and financial products
• ▹Collaborate closely with product, design, and partner teams

Requirements

• ▹10+ years in Swift and iOS engineering, 12+ years in mobile software engineering overall
• ▹Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership skills
• ▹Self-driven mindset, comfortable with greenfield projects
• ▹Proficiency in iOS testing frameworks and best practices
• ▹Experience developing platform components for scalability, consistency, performance, maintainability
• ▹Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
• ▹Continuous learning mindset and mentoring experience

Nice to have

• ▹Delivering high-quality code across a diverse tech stack
• ▹Experience with analytics and monitoring tools
• ▹Mobile infrastructure experience (CI/CD, automated testing, release orchestration)
• ▹Building a strong mobile foundation for feature teams
• ▹Mobile testing at scale
• ▹Strong GraphQL knowledge
• ▹Experience working at scale across multiple teams and feature areas
