Senior Staff Software Engineer, Client Architecture

Responsibilities

• ▹Define and execute org-wide client architecture strategy supporting video creation, editing, and uploading
• ▹Accelerate the product roadmap: build and scale new contribution formats natively
• ▹Serve as technical anchor and mentor for the Contribution engineering team
• ▹Thoughtfully leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate prototyping and coding
• ▹Optimize the contribution funnel: build performant client infrastructure (zero-latency rich-text rendering, media upload pipelines, state synchronization)

Requirements

• ▹10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record as Senior Staff or Principal Engineer on consumer-facing mobile or web client applications
• ▹Deep client architecture expertise: modern web architecture (React, TypeScript, advanced state management) and native mobile paradigms (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin)
• ▹Demonstrated track record solving hard client-side performance and rendering bottlenecks at scale
• ▹Exceptional written and verbal communication, ability to influence VP-level technical direction
• ▹Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional engineering initiatives
