Customer Quality Engineer

Lead customer complaint investigations and coordinate quality assurance processes at thyssenkrupp's electromechanical steering systems plant in Jászfényszaru, Hungary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations of customer complaints and warranty claims, coordinating root cause analysis and corrective actions across departments
  • Make quality decisions regarding non-conforming products, including scrapping, sorting, rework, and deviation approvals
  • Coordinate product release, line stoppage, material blocking/unblocking, and risk assessments to prevent delivery of non-conforming products
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining strong customer relationships and managing quality-related communication
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, including Control Plans, PPAPs, work instructions, and production quality standards
  • Analyze audit results, quality performance data, and process deviations, driving continuous improvement actions
  • Organize and supervise sorting, rework, containment activities, and blocked stock management

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Advanced English language skills
  • At least 3 years of quality experience in automotive mass production, with strong exposure to customer and manufacturing quality
  • Solid knowledge of automotive quality tools and methodologies, such as 8D, Pareto, 5 Why, 5M, SPC, PFMEA, APQP, Control Plan, and PPAP
  • Strong customer focus, communication and presentation skills
  • Structured problem-solving mindset with excellent analytical and organizational abilities
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing customer quality requirements
  • Willingness to travel
