Responsibilities

• ▹Design and ship reliable, intuitive, production-grade AI agents that are mission-critical and drive revenue
• ▹Own the full Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC), from pilot through deployment and continuous iteration
• ▹Partner with large enterprises and startups to understand challenges and build AI agents that transform how they operate
• ▹Shape the future of Sierra's platform: surface unmet needs, prototype new tools, collaborate with research, product and platform
• ▹Example projects: AI agents that outperform human agents in filing insurance claims, handling complex interactions (e.g. quoting insurance for a modified classic car), building generalizable industry-specific agent frameworks, integrating the latest voice models at enterprise scale

Requirements

• ▹Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems
• ▹Strong technical problem-solving skills in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
• ▹A builder and tinkerer's mindset with high agency
• ▹Comfort working directly with customers to understand their needs
• ▹Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• ▹Genuine interest in financial services / insurance

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in insurance technology, financial institution implementations, or familiarity with compliance requirements (PII handling)
• ▹Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production
• ▹Founder or founding engineer experience
• ▹Familiarity with AI agent tooling: eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering
• ▹Experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go
• ▹Prior customer-facing or technical project leadership roles
