Senior IT Project Leader (Public Sector)

At Telekom MMS, you'll steer complex digitalization and IT projects, primarily for public-sector clients, from planning through stakeholder management to a successful outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Steer complex IT and digitalization projects for clients, including in the public sector
  • Take responsibility for planning, coordinating and controlling activities, resources, budget and timelines across the full project lifecycle
  • Develop service descriptions together with the team, create tailored price calculations and negotiate them with clients
  • Coordinate large, distributed project teams, sometimes across parallel projects, leading and motivating colleagues with agile and classic PM methods
  • Mediate between stakeholder interests and find sustainable, jointly supported solutions
  • Advise clients, including during difficult project phases, and lead projects to success in a structured way
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, grow client relationships, and actively generate follow-up business

Requirements

  • Several years of experience leading complex projects for public-sector clients
  • Solid knowledge of project management methods (classic and agile)
  • Experience in proposal creation, contract and claim management, risk management, and earned value management
  • Experience with security standards (e.g. ISO 27001, ISO 15288)
  • Confident demeanor toward clients, authorities and industry partners
  • Solution-oriented thinking and action, including in escalation situations, with a high degree of discretion

Nice to have

  • Project management certification (IPMA, PMI, Scrum Master, PRINCE2)
  • Experience applying the V-Modell (XT)
  • Experience with systems engineering, cyber security, or technical IT architectures in a public-sector context
