Head of Department – Mainframe Hardware and Software Management

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead and develop the management team and all department staff using modern leadership methods
• ▹Plan, provide and manage one of the world's largest mainframe environments
• ▹Continuously develop the FI mainframe platform and related operating processes together with hardware/software vendors
• ▹Guarantee the security, availability and cost-effectiveness of the mainframe platform together with experienced teams
• ▹Plan and align the department with company and business strategy and agreed goals
• ▹Responsibility for task, resource and budget planning
• ▹Prepare management-ready reports and decision documents

Requirements

• ▹Degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable qualification
• ▹Several years of professional and leadership experience in IT infrastructure
• ▹Knowledge of mainframe platform architecture and its integration into current IT landscapes
• ▹Experience with operating processes in large IT environments
• ▹Team and communication skills, social competence, enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
• ▹Analytical thinking, quick comprehension, coordination and decision-making skills
• ▹Good German and English
