Alan is a health insurance and prevention company serving over 1M members. This fullstack engineering role sits on the team that builds the payroll and benefits platform used by HR teams: employee affiliation, payroll contributions, and billing. The team is hiring engineers of all experience levels to make these processes frictionless, reliable, and delightful across multiple countries.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer the employee affiliation engine to reliably process thousands of lifecycle events daily
  • Simplify payroll and billing by building tools HR teams love
  • Build seamless integrations with platforms like Payfit and Workday
  • Automate workflows at scale, adapting solutions to companies of all sizes across multiple countries
  • Ensure invoices are accurate, reliable, and easy to manage
  • Collaborate with product, design, and operations to deliver a unified experience

Requirements

  • Software engineering experience (all experience levels considered), ideally with backend and full-stack work
  • Comfortable digging into complex business logic, especially around insurance and payroll
  • Experience building scalable systems that handle real-world complexity
  • Well-versed in OOP languages (Python, Java, C#)
  • Excited about modern web technologies (JavaScript)
  • Fluent in English (French is a plus but not required)
