
Fullstack Software Engineer (x/f/m) - Payroll & Benefits Platform for HR
Alan is a health insurance and prevention company serving over 1M members. This fullstack engineering role sits on the team that builds the payroll and benefits platform used by HR teams: employee affiliation, payroll contributions, and billing. The team is hiring engineers of all experience levels to make these processes frictionless, reliable, and delightful across multiple countries.
Responsibilities
- ▹Engineer the employee affiliation engine to reliably process thousands of lifecycle events daily
- ▹Simplify payroll and billing by building tools HR teams love
- ▹Build seamless integrations with platforms like Payfit and Workday
- ▹Automate workflows at scale, adapting solutions to companies of all sizes across multiple countries
- ▹Ensure invoices are accurate, reliable, and easy to manage
- ▹Collaborate with product, design, and operations to deliver a unified experience
Requirements
- ▹Software engineering experience (all experience levels considered), ideally with backend and full-stack work
- ▹Comfortable digging into complex business logic, especially around insurance and payroll
- ▹Experience building scalable systems that handle real-world complexity
- ▹Well-versed in OOP languages (Python, Java, C#)
- ▹Excited about modern web technologies (JavaScript)
- ▹Fluent in English (French is a plus but not required)
