
Fullstack Software Engineer (x/f/m) - Claims Management
Alan is hiring a fullstack software engineer for its Claims Management division, which refunds over €350M of healthcare expenses every year to more than 1 million members across France, Belgium, Spain, and Canada. The mission is to refund each member as fast as possible and at the right amount while remaining cost-effective. The division includes product crews for document processing, claims experience, payments, and fraud fighting, working with a React, Python/Flask, and PostgreSQL stack.
Responsibilities
- ▹Build complex systems that must work perfectly 24/7 on a high-growth trajectory
- ▹Work on document processing, parsing millions of documents with LLMs
- ▹Build the claims experience across four countries on mobile and desktop
- ▹Develop payment infrastructure and source ingestion so members get refunded fast
- ▹Contribute to fraud fighting with machine learning scoring, anomaly detection, and manual investigations
- ▹Ship web applications with a focus on delightful user experiences
Requirements
- ▹3+ years of experience building complex, high-availability systems
- ▹Good experience building and shipping web applications
- ▹Open to working with TypeScript and Python in a cross-platform environment
- ▹Proficient in object-oriented programming (Python, Java, Swift, Kotlin, or C#)
- ▹Interest in the business side: conversion funnels, marketing metrics, growth drivers
- ▹Clear career progression with increasing responsibility and scope
- ▹English working proficiency
