AI Engineer / Data Scientist (Toulouse)

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and develop AI assistants and conversational systems that use company data
• ▹Build high-performing RAG architectures that enrich models with business knowledge
• ▹Design autonomous AI agents that interact with information systems and data platforms
• ▹Integrate, orchestrate and optimise proprietary and open-source models
• ▹Implement document search, reasoning and data-driven action execution solutions
• ▹Improve answer relevance through prompt engineering, retrieval and evaluation mechanisms
• ▹Design robust, scalable and secure Data & AI architectures
• ▹Develop industrialised AI services, APIs and components
• ▹Take part in integrating AI solutions into clients' data ecosystems
• ▹Work with data engineering teams on data preparation, qualification and exposure
• ▹Help build technology foundations that speed up the development of Data & AI use cases
• ▹Apply MLOps, LLMOps and DataOps good practices to keep production solutions reliable
• ▹Design, train and deploy machine learning models when the problem calls for it
• ▹Run exploratory analyses and advanced experiments on structured and unstructured data
• ▹Evaluate and optimise AI model performance
• ▹Develop explainability, responsible AI and model governance approaches
• ▹Work with business teams to turn data into levers for decisions and performance

Requirements

• ▹Higher education in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence or a related field
• ▹At least 4 years of experience developing AI solutions, in data science or machine learning
• ▹Ability to work end to end on advanced AI topics, from understanding the business need to production and operation
• ▹Strong analytical ability to assess model quality, measure performance and challenge technical choices
• ▹Solid command of Python and its data and AI ecosystem
• ▹Experience with generative AI solutions (LLMs, RAG, AI agents)
• ▹Command of modern AI architectures: RAG, vector search, embeddings, reranking, agents, tool calling and MCP
• ▹Experience with AI frameworks and tools such as LangChain, LangGraph and n8n
• ▹Sensitivity to data quality, security and value creation
• ▹Experience on one of the cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• ▹LLMOps skills on the main models (GPT, Claude, Mistral), notably observability, security and industrialisation
• ▹Command of versioning and continuous integration tools (Git, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps)
• ▹Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
