Integration Engineer and Tester

Responsibilities

• ▹Build a deep technical understanding of the higher-level control systems
• ▹Carry out integration tasks to ensure full communication between third-party plant controllers and the control systems
• ▹Receive data point information from third-party suppliers for further processing
• ▹Create and extend the MMI (operator interface)
• ▹Create meaningful information aggregations and summaries
• ▹Create if-then rules for event cases
• ▹Take responsibility for full-scope testing: run in-house tests independently, including logging
• ▹Prepare test dates with third-party suppliers and customers independently
• ▹Schedule and run meetings with internal and external participants independently
• ▹Produce high-quality, traceable test reports
• ▹Coordinate with the development department on required changes to the software under test, based on test results
• ▹Record functional problems in ticket systems
• ▹Ensure that required changes are delivered on schedule
• ▹Run commissioning tests (remote and on site; night shifts are possible)
• ▹Create, maintain and improve automated test cases and metrics that measure success
• ▹Continuously improve tools and process documents

Requirements

• ▹Professional experience in the IT industry
• ▹Experience testing complex systems
• ▹Understanding of technical relationships in order to derive test cases
• ▹Experience in test automation (TestCafe, Cypress, Selenium, Playwright etc.)
• ▹ISTQB certification (or willingness to obtain it)
• ▹Very good knowledge of German and English
• ▹Independent, precise way of working, perseverance and tenacity
• ▹Confident manner with customers and suppliers

Nice to have

• ▹French language skills
• ▹Basic knowledge of relational databases (SQL)
