Responsibilities

• ▹Administer and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL databases in development and production environments
• ▹Manage installations, configurations, upgrades, migrations and incident resolution
• ▹Monitor and optimize database performance, availability and capacity
• ▹Design and maintain backup, recovery, replication, high availability and disaster recovery solutions
• ▹Administer databases on AWS, working with services such as RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, IAM and CloudWatch
• ▹Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Architecture and Infrastructure teams to ensure the reliability, security and performance of database environments

Requirements

• ▹Professional experience as a Database Administrator (DBA)
• ▹Solid experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL
• ▹Good knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL and experience in database optimization
• ▹Experience in backup and recovery, replication, high availability and disaster recovery
• ▹Knowledge of AWS, especially RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, IAM and CloudWatch
• ▹Experience working with Linux
• ▹Good analysis, troubleshooting and incident resolution skills in production environments
• ▹Good level of English

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of Bash and/or Python for automation
• ▹Knowledge of Oracle RAC/Data Guard, Patroni, Docker, Kubernetes or monitoring tools
