Developer Advocate – Service Management EMEA

Responsibilities

• ▹Act as SME for service management (incident response, on-call, IDP, Work Management, Workflow Automation, Agent Builder, operational automation)
• ▹Create content (demos, talks, blogs, documentation, webinars, open source, research reports) to build Datadog's reputation
• ▹Partner with product engineering teams on demos and coach internal engineers on communication and presentation
• ▹Interface with open source communities to drive key messaging and develop new integrations
• ▹Contribute to the product through feedback, documentation or code

Requirements

• ▹Approximately 5+ years as a Platform Engineer, SRE, DevOps Engineer or Software Developer with hands-on on-call/incident-response experience
• ▹Strong understanding of core service-management practices (incident response, on-call, post-incident reviews, SLOs) with tools like Datadog, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, incident.io, Rootly, Jira Cloud Platform or Cortex
• ▹Approximately 2+ years of storytelling and content creation experience (writing, conference talks, workshops, live streaming, open source)
• ▹Publicly available writing samples, blog posts, demos or recordings on technical topics
• ▹Comfortable with at least one scripting/programming language (Node.js, Python, Go, bash) and familiar with APIs and modern infrastructure

Nice to have

• ▹Hands-on ITSM platform experience (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management)
• ▹Active membership in SRE, DevOps or incident-response communities
