Responsibilities

• ▹Be involved in all areas of delivery, mentoring and inspiring the development team
• ▹Take ownership of your code every step of the way, from development to deployment and maintenance
• ▹Diagnose issues in production and devise solutions for them
• ▹Be an integral part of solutions design and implementation
• ▹Challenge business requirements to ensure the best possible outcome
• ▹Harness innovation and drive adoption of new technologies to deliver business value
• ▹Help shape the online technology roadmap and future technical direction
• ▹Conduct technical interviews for positions within your area of expertise

Requirements

• ▹Minimum 7 years of experience with the Java programming language, including recent versions (17+)
• ▹Experience with popular web frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data Flow, or Micronaut
• ▹Knowledge of architectural styles: microservices, web services, SOA, and API protocols (GraphQL Federation, REST API)
• ▹Experience in monitoring and observability: OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, or similar tools
• ▹Proficiency with the Gradle build tool
• ▹Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development
• ▹Cloud technology experience: Azure Cloud, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions
• ▹Experience with databases: MongoDB, MySQL
• ▹Experience with application lifecycle management tools: JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, NexusPro or similar
• ▹Knowledge of agile frameworks and practices: Scrum/Kanban, user stories, BDD/TDD, DevOps, CI/CD, pair programming
• ▹Proficiency in applying design patterns to build scalable, maintainable solutions
• ▹Fluency in English
• ▹Mandatory to be located in Portugal

Nice to have

• ▹Understanding of Product Information Management / Master Data Management platforms (e.g. Stibo)
