Percona's AWS Practice Lead is a hands-on technical leader who helps customers run open-source databases on AWS (EKS, Aurora, RDS, ElastiCache, MSK), providing architectural guidance and leading complex implementations and migrations.
Responsibilities
- ▹Help customers optimize AWS database environments
- ▹Provide architectural guidance on performance, cost, and reliability
- ▹Lead complex implementations and migrations
- ▹Grow existing AWS customer accounts (performance tuning, cost optimization)
- ▹Ensure smooth transitions for customers migrating to AWS
- ▹Advise internal teams on AWS-focused product and service improvements
- ▹Collaborate with the Cloud Partnership team on co-sell and partner programs
Requirements
- ▹Deep, genuine AWS ecosystem expertise
- ▹Experience with open-source databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB)
- ▹Ability to give technically grounded, customer-first recommendations
