Playtech's Open Platform (POP) team is hiring a Java Developer to modernize existing systems and build new services, working with modern Java, Spring and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

▹Modernize existing systems, develop new services
▹Solve challenges of performance, scalability, reliability
▹Write clean, well-tested, high-quality code
▹Participate in code reviews and architectural decisions
▹Improve engineering practices with the team

Requirements

▹Solid knowledge of modern Java (21/25 preferred), multithreading
▹Good problem-solving skills, algorithms and data structures
▹Understanding of distributed systems and backend design
▹Database concepts, SQL and/or NoSQL experience
▹Experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, Git, Docker

Nice to have

▹Performance tuning and debugging expertise
