Paxos Labs is scaling its DeFi protocol infrastructure. The Smart Contract Engineer designs and builds Solidity contracts for vault, lending and tokenization primitives that power enterprise-grade onchain financial products.

Responsibilities

▹Research and design novel protocol mechanisms (vaults, lending)
▹Develop Solidity contracts and comprehensive test suites
▹Lead protocol design decision-making
▹Maintain security and organizational standards in an open-source codebase

Requirements

▹Deep knowledge of lending codebases (Compound, Aave, Morpho Blue, MakerDAO)
▹Experience shipping production Solidity contracts to mainnet
▹Testing experience (unit, fork, fuzzing, invariant tests)
▹Experience with Foundry or Hardhat

Nice to have

▹Familiarity with Vyper, Rust, Cairo or Cosmwasm
▹CTF, gas golfing or hackathon experience
▹Rollup or zero-knowledge proof experience

Soft skills

Deep engagement with DeFiResearch-oriented mindsetWeighing trust assumptions and risk
