Backend Engineer (Go)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Build and scale a distributed system using Go, DynamoDB, SQS, Redshift and Lambdas
• ▹Build a snappy full-stack app using cutting-edge tech (including Next on Vercel, gRPC)
• ▹Work on the next version of the Prelude API, aiming for industry-leading usability, performance and functionality
• ▹Ensure services are scalable, extensible, reliable and performant
• ▹Help deploy and scale the fraud prevention model to hundreds of large customers
• ▹Develop and maintain internal tools to improve developer efficiency
• ▹Interact with clients daily to assist them and build features around their needs
• ▹Participate in on-call rotations to guarantee the stability and reliability of the APIs

Requirements

• ▹Years of experience designing and engineering large-scale systems
• ▹Strong coding skills in Go
• ▹A preference for simplicity over complexity, with intuition for what will scale effectively
• ▹A product-led mindset, keen to code for the output and the impact
• ▹Fluent/professional English given the international team

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Rust, TypeScript or similar
• ▹Experience building frontends with modern frameworks like React or Vue
