Senior Backend Engineer (Core Team)

Responsibilities

• ▹own a core platform product as part of a cross-functional team
• ▹design and build new backend features end-to-end
• ▹write high-quality production code daily
• ▹take ownership of services handling financial transactions at scale
• ▹proactively suggest architecture and process improvements
• ▹participate in code and architectural reviews
• ▹participate in on-call rotations
• ▹play an active role in tech transformation initiatives

Requirements

• ▹Node.js/TypeScript experience (or another OOP language: Java, Python, C++, C#, Go)
• ▹understanding of asynchronous programming techniques
• ▹experience with distributed systems and messaging (Kafka, gRPC)
• ▹knowledge of relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL), columnar (ClickHouse), and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases
• ▹developing and maintaining unit and end-to-end tests
• ▹proven track record of delivering production-ready solutions
• ▹degree in Computer Science or related field

Nice to have

• ▹large-scale microservices architecture experience
• ▹basic Kubernetes knowledge
• ▹familiarity with cloud providers (especially AWS)
• ▹understanding of application security best practices
• ▹gambling domain experience
