Senior Technical Domain Lead

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the long-term technical vision, architecture and strategic direction of your domain
• ▹Lead cross-team design discussions, architectural reviews and delivery of major technical initiatives
• ▹Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Engineers and Product Owners to turn business goals into sound technical strategy
• ▹Drive high standards for security, scalability and performance and make them stick
• ▹Champion agentic-first development practices to help engineers ship faster
• ▹Make the engineers around you better through pairing and design reviews
• ▹Support multiple engineering teams by unblocking complex issues and setting clear technical standards
• ▹Provide input into group-wide engineering strategy, technology selection and platform direction
• ▹Act as the point of escalation for the most complex technical decisions in your domain

Requirements

• ▹Experience designing and scaling large, mission-critical systems serving real users at scale
• ▹Architectural decisions that teams still benefit from years later, with the ability to articulate the trade-offs considered
• ▹Ability to align a room of senior engineers on a complex trade-off without formal authority
• ▹Deep expertise in a specific technical domain (e.g. payments, logistics, customer experience, AI/ML) and a track record of shaping its direction
• ▹Experience mentoring senior engineers
• ▹Excitement about using AI as a real multiplier for how engineering teams work
• ▹Proficiency in Java and React

Nice to have

• ▹Open-source contributions or conference talks
• ▹Familiarity with multiple programming paradigms and technology stacks
• ▹Exposure to cross-regional or multi-country technology operations
