Data Product Partner - Barcelona

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop business data strategy with business leaders
• ▹Identify and qualify high-impact use cases and data initiatives
• ▹Translate across disciplines between data roles and executives, manage expectations and define scope and flexible roadmaps
• ▹Develop product sense for data: anticipate data quality issues and say no to requests that compromise the aligned vision
• ▹Publicise the work done to drive adoption
• ▹Coach teams to self-serve their preliminary investigations
• ▹Define what to build and why, including urgency, business target date and prioritisation
• ▹Turn vague requests into well-defined, measurable projects and technical data requirements
• ▹Manage the business unit's data portfolio in line with capacity and strategic priorities
• ▹Track the actual business outcomes and ROI of completed data projects
• ▹First line of response for data questions: lightweight SQL queries, exploratory analysis in Looker, quick validations and hypothesis testing
• ▹Triage ad-hoc requests and hand them over to Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science or Data Governance
• ▹Spot recurring ad-hoc requests that signal gaps in dashboards or data products
• ▹Provide data consulting and drive data literacy and adoption
• ▹Identify and prioritise data quality gaps within the data team

Requirements

• ▹Move fluently between business and data worlds, making decisions rooted in user needs and technical reality
• ▹SQL and Looker for ad-hoc analysis
• ▹Strong communication and relationship management skills
• ▹Based within commuting distance of the Barcelona hub (in-person 3 days a week)
• ▹English is the official office language; the resume must be submitted in English
