Senior Software Engineer, Nix

Responsibilities

• ▹Maintain the internal package set for company-wide software distribution
• ▹Package open-source and proprietary software components using Nix
• ▹Establish tooling and standards for Nix usage
• ▹Provide assistance, training and mentorship to team members

Requirements

• ▹Proficiency with Nix, Nixpkgs, NixOS and functional programming
• ▹Deep understanding of build systems and packaging ecosystems
• ▹Experience with at least one of: Rust, C++, Go, Python, Haskell
• ▹Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance

Nice to have

• ▹Experience managing cloud computing resources (e.g. AWS)
• ▹Experience with modern build/deployment tooling and CI (e.g. Terraform)
• ▹Experience designing complex software systems
• ▹Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
