Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build and optimize complex SQL Server solutions (performance tuning, indexing, data modeling)
• ▹Manage relational and semi-structured data, process JSON in SQL Server (OPENJSON, JSON_VALUE)
• ▹Automate processes using PowerShell and scripting
• ▹Integrate with APIs and external systems
• ▹Build end-to-end solutions rather than isolated reporting
• ▹Explore and implement LLM-driven workflows (prompting, structured outputs)
• ▹Replace manual processes with automation

Requirements

• ▹Proficient in SQL Server (query performance, indexing, data modeling)
• ▹Experience handling JSON in SQL Server and hybrid data models
• ▹Experience with PowerShell or similar scripting for automation
• ▹Ability to work across multiple systems (databases, APIs, services)
• ▹Proven ability to deliver effective solutions on time

Nice to have

• ▹Background in small teams with end-to-end system ownership
• ▹Experience in complex application environments rather than isolated reporting
• ▹Ability to solve problems without detailed requirements
• ▹Experience in insurance, financial services or other regulated, transaction-heavy domains
• ▹Python experience and familiarity with APIs and integrations
• ▹Exposure to LLMs such as OpenAI and Claude
• ▹Experience building internal tools or automation frameworks
• ▹Experience with cloud or hybrid infrastructure
