Founding Engineer - Shaper Capital

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the technical foundation: build the first version of the product end-to-end, from initial architecture decisions through shipping to real customers
• ▹Partner directly with the founding CEO, talk to customers and help set the technical direction and roadmap
• ▹Establish the engineering culture and tooling the company will scale on
• ▹Work across every lane of the company: product, sales, customer service and beyond

Requirements

• ▹Strong generalist engineering experience, having built and shipped real products
• ▹Ideally an early engineering hire (employee #1-10) at a startup or similar 0-to-1 capacity
• ▹Ability to move fluidly across the stack, pick things up quickly and execute
• ▹Entrepreneurial mindset, enjoys working closely with customers
• ▹Takes ownership without waiting to be told
• ▹Brings scrappy energy to the work
