Staff Engineer, KernelCare (worldwide remote)

Responsibilities

• ▹Own major product components and workstreams from discovery and planning to production release
• ▹Work directly with engineering, product and sales stakeholders to gather requirements
• ▹Translate broad or unclear product goals into technical plans, milestones and tasks
• ▹Design scalable system architecture and make technical decisions
• ▹Build, review and maintain production-grade components end-to-end
• ▹Take responsibility for delivered components in production
• ▹Track progress and communicate results, blockers, risks and dependencies
• ▹Research relevant technologies, tools and competitor solutions
• ▹Contribute to engineering quality through design reviews and mentorship

Requirements

• ▹Proven experience owning major projects or workstreams end-to-end
• ▹Strong backend engineering experience in Python
• ▹Comfortable reading and reviewing C code
• ▹Strong hands-on Linux background
• ▹Strong system design and architectural thinking
• ▹Experience gathering and refining requirements into technical plans and deliverables
• ▹Strong technical product ownership skills
