Product Owner MegaCAD Metal (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the functional roadmap for MegaCAD Metall, prioritizing by customer value, strategic importance, effort and market relevance
• ▹Gather and structure requirements from customer projects, support, sales, management and competitive analysis
• ▹Translate requirements into epics, user stories, tickets and acceptance criteria for the development team
• ▹Think holistically about metal construction workflows: design, technical drawings, profiles, connections, cutting, drilling, bills of materials, export formats, manufacturing
• ▹Validate new features together with internal teams, pilot customers and practitioners
• ▹Work closely with the CTO and development team, supporting a transparent development, test and release process
• ▹Monitor relevant CAD and metal-construction market solutions
• ▹Prepare product changes so support, sales, marketing and training can understand and explain them to customers

Requirements

• ▹Experience with CAD systems, technical design or technical drawing
• ▹Practical knowledge from metal construction, steel construction, mechanical engineering or technical planning
• ▹Understanding of how users work in CAD systems and where friction typically occurs
• ▹Basic understanding of software development, agile ways of working, backlogs, user stories and release processes, or willingness to learn quickly
• ▹Ability to structure complex requirements and communicate them clearly to development, customers and internal stakeholders
• ▹Independent, reliable and analytical way of working
• ▹Confident German language skills

Nice to have

• ▹Experience as a Product Owner, product manager, project lead, construction engineer with a software background, or technical consultant in the CAD space
• ▹Knowledge of metal-construction or manufacturing processes: profile machining, cutting, drilling patterns, bills of materials, laser cutting, DXF/DWG, DSTV-NC or similar formats
• ▹Experience in direct interaction with customers, pilot users, support or sales
• ▹Understanding of platform products, CAD cores, interfaces or industry-specific applications
