Senior Software Engineer - Node.js/AWS

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Analyze and correct data integrity challenges via SQL and logs, with root cause analysis
• ▹Communicate project status and recommendations to client stakeholders
• ▹Write efficient, performant, testable, scalable and secure client code
• ▹Participate in planning and estimation efforts
• ▹Gather requirements and present developed features to clients
• ▹Collaborate with engineers, designers and managers on client success
• ▹Engage in agile ceremonies: stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives
• ▹Mentor other engineers through Communities of Practice
• ▹Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs
• ▹Use AWS serverless services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB or RDS
• ▹Query DynamoDB/RDS data stores to analyze and fix data errors

Requirements

• ▹Experience designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs
• ▹Experience with AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS)
• ▹Experience in Agile software development methodologies
• ▹Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming principles (abstraction, encapsulation)
• ▹High-level design proficiency following UML / C4 / ArchiMate
• ▹Experience creating well-tested, scalable and performant enterprise-level systems
• ▹Experience mentoring other engineers and decision-makers
