Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build, and evolve server-side applications and APIs
• ▹Lead complex integrations with external partners, especially Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• ▹Continuously improve and optimize the back-end architecture and developer experience
• ▹Contribute to architectural discussions and influence long-term technical decisions
• ▹Collaborate closely across the team to deliver impactful end-to-end features

Requirements

• ▹Strong foundations in computer science or a related discipline
• ▹Strong experience in back-end engineering, ideally within fast-paced, production-critical environments
• ▹Proficiency in one or more widely used back-end languages (Java, Kotlin, C++, Python, etc.)
• ▹Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs and distributed systems (GraphQL and OpenAPI a plus)
• ▹Comfort driving architectural decisions and technical strategy
• ▹Writing clean, maintainable code with high standards for software quality
• ▹Clear communication in English

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with cloud infrastructure
• ▹Security/compliance experience
• ▹Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR)
