Software Engineer - Platform

Join Faculty's AI Platform team to build the infrastructure that empowers a team of 100+ data scientists and engineers to move from complex exploration to full-stack, production-grade machine learning products.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of existing deployment and MLOps tooling to ensure software delivery remains a lever for quality and reliability
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution of the technology stack, from notebook development environments to model monitoring systems
  • Collaborate with a small, fast-moving team of customer-facing technologists to design and build infrastructure
  • Design and implement infrastructure-as-code and DevSecOps processes for distributed, containerized microservices architectures
  • Integrate core platform services across multiple cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Scale internal enablement capabilities, removing technical friction and accelerating machine learning deployment

Requirements

  • Passion for building internal tools and the foundational systems that enable others to excel
  • Understanding of the nuances of the machine learning product lifecycle, from exploration to production
  • Modern systems programming skills in Python or Go
  • Practical experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) for distributed systems at scale
  • Strong background in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) with a deep interest in DevSecOps practices
  • Comfort with high ownership in small, ambitious teams, and effective communication with technical and non-technical peers
