Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• ▹Leads the team daily to ensure it delivers as expected
• ▹Manages a team of talented software engineers, facilitating their growth and providing challenges aligned with their goals
• ▹Makes technical decisions with the team to ensure features meet GitGuardian's quality standards
• ▹Manages interactions with other engineering teams and oversees dependencies between projects

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of software engineering experience building web applications or complex backend systems
• ▹Prior experience as a developer using Python
• ▹1+ year of experience leading or managing an engineering team with a track record of shipping high-quality software
• ▹Familiarity with frontend development using React or Angular
• ▹Technical environment: Python (Django), React, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, ArgoCD, PostgreSQL, Redis

The engineering department is made up of around 10 teams of 3 to 6 developers, each led by an Engineering Manager and supported by a Product Manager.
