Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Designs, builds, and maintains the data platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
• ▹Develops and optimizes robust ELT pipelines (Fivetran, Airbyte, custom connectors), ingesting data from PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and third-party APIs (e.g. Hubspot, GitLab, Notion)
• ▹Architects and implements sophisticated data models in the Snowflake data warehouse
• ▹Collaborates on business projects with Sales, Marketing, and Product
• ▹Powers customer-facing analytics within the GitGuardian product
• ▹Champions data quality and governance across the organization
• ▹Mentors and guides other engineers

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of data engineering experience with a proven track record of building and managing complex data platforms in a cloud environment
• ▹Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL
• ▹Comprehensive understanding of modern data architectures (data warehousing, data modeling, ETL/ELT best practices)
• ▹Hands-on experience with the team's core technologies or their equivalents (e.g. Airflow instead of Dagster, Redshift or BigQuery instead of Snowflake)
• ▹Technical environment: Python, SQL, Snowflake, Dagster, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Fivetran, Airbyte, Metabase, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch
