Azure Network and Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, deploy, and manage Azure network architectures (Hub-and-Spoke, Virtual WAN, VNets, hybrid connectivity)
• ▹Implement and manage Azure network security services (Azure Firewall, WAF, DDoS Protection, NSGs, Private Endpoints)
• ▹Deploy and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Sentinel
• ▹Implement Azure security governance through Azure Policy, RBAC, and compliance controls (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, NIST)
• ▹Monitor and troubleshoot network and security environments (Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, Log Analytics)
• ▹Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts
• ▹Maintain network security documentation
• ▹Partner with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
• ▹Support internal and external audits

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• ▹5+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in Azure network or cloud security engineering
• ▹Solid expertise in Azure networking (Virtual Networks, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway)
• ▹Proficiency in Azure Private Endpoint, Private DNS, Service Endpoints, and network segmentation
• ▹Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR)
• ▹Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Conditional Access, PIM, Identity Protection, MFA, SSO)
• ▹Understanding of zero-trust architecture principles
