Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Craft an elegant, resilient, and useful distributed system for booking business travel
• ▹Backend development with Python and Django, using asynchronous programming (asyncio, aiohttp)
• ▹Work with a relational database (Postgres) and a NoSQL solution (MongoDB)
• ▹Write unit tests and autotests

Requirements

• ▹6+ years of strong experience with Python and Django
• ▹Experience with asynchronous programming (asyncio, aiohttp)
• ▹Familiarity with at least one RDBMS (Postgres) and a NoSQL solution (MongoDB)
• ▹Ability to write unit tests and autotests
• ▹High level of responsibility and independence
• ▹At least B2+ (upper-intermediate+) level of English
• ▹Experience with Elasticsearch
• ▹Ukrainian citizenship, located within +/- 2 hours of the Kyiv timezone; able to legally travel to the EU

Nice to have

• ▹Contributions to an open-source project
• ▹Experience mentoring newcomers and leading small project groups
• ▹Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
