Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop key components of the financial exchange platform
• ▹Contribute ideas for product improvements
• ▹Design, develop, implement and maintain Java/Kotlin applications
• ▹Ensure product design meets security, resilience and confidentiality needs
• ▹Conduct software analysis, testing and debugging
• ▹Transform requirements into specifications, identify production issues
• ▹Develop documentation throughout the software development lifecycle
• ▹Coach and mentor other development team members
• ▹Participate in on-call rotations, resolve production issues

Requirements

• ▹Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• ▹Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• ▹8+ years of relevant professional experience
• ▹Solid computer science fundamentals: databases, concurrency, security, networking
• ▹Proven experience with Java/Kotlin or other JVM-based languages
• ▹Demonstrated contribution to delivering a successful, large-scale product
• ▹Experience with relational databases, message queues and PKI
• ▹Experience with REST APIs
• ▹Experience deploying and operating services in containerized environments (e.g. Kubernetes)

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Canton/Daml or other distributed transaction/ledger technologies
