Responsibilities

• ▹Drive technical strategy and roadmap, define architectural vision
• ▹Lead end-to-end delivery of large, cross-functional projects
• ▹Own architecture, reliability, performance and cost for critical systems
• ▹Define SLOs/SLIs, lead high-severity incident response and blameless post-mortems
• ▹Improve observability, automation and operational readiness to reduce toil
• ▹Mentor engineers, lead design reviews

Requirements

• ▹Proven delivery and operation of large distributed systems
• ▹Strong systems-design instincts around latency, consistency, availability, scaling and cost tradeoffs
• ▹Hands-on cloud-native architecture experience (microservices, containers/Kubernetes, IaC)
• ▹Experience defining SLOs/SLIs, capacity planning, performance tuning
• ▹Clean, maintainable, well-tested code in Go (Python/C/C++/Rust translate well)
• ▹Comfort with AI-assisted development tools
• ▹Familiarity with messaging/telemetry systems (e.g. Kafka, Prometheus/Grafana)
• ▹Ability to influence without authority, strong communicator
