Linux System Administrator (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• ▹Administer the server farm and IT infrastructure
• ▹Plan, install, configure and administer complex server environments in a Linux setting
• ▹Ensure system availability through fault analysis and troubleshooting
• ▹Participate in on-call duty (compensated)
• ▹Independently develop concepts and implement them
• ▹Provide customer support (2nd level, 3rd level) via email, phone and ticketing system

Requirements

• ▹Very good knowledge of common Linux distributions (Debian, Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS)
• ▹Very good knowledge of server services (web server, database server, mail server, name server)
• ▹Good knowledge of network and encryption technologies (TCP/IP, IPsec, OpenVPN, SSL, firewalls, HA, load balancing)
• ▹Business-fluent German (C1) for daily communication
• ▹Good English skills
• ▹Experience with virtualization technologies: VMware, Proxmox, Virtuozzo
• ▹Experience with server management interfaces: Plesk, Virtuozzo Automator, Confixx

Nice to have

• ▹Good knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
