Responsibilities

• ▹Design and build tools and applications extending Calendly's infrastructure platform
• ▹Evaluate and guide application development across the organization
• ▹Apply deep expertise in cloud infrastructure concepts and patterns
• ▹Offer and evangelize patterns for cloud-native application development
• ▹Foster a collaborative environment of learning and knowledge dissemination

Requirements

• ▹10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and/or software development
• ▹4+ years of experience leading technical projects
• ▹Strong Go (Golang) development experience, especially writing APIs to orchestrate cloud infrastructure
• ▹Expert knowledge of Kubernetes design patterns (e.g., Controllers and Operators)
• ▹Deep experience designing, building and running highly-available production applications
• ▹Understanding of the Linux operating system and systems engineering fundamentals
• ▹Technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure (especially GCP), distributed systems and reliability practices
• ▹Working knowledge of observability tools (especially Datadog)

• ▹Experience building applications on Temporal
