Field Service Engineer III – Analytical Instrumentation (Greater Montreal REMOTE)

Field Service Engineer III role at Thermo Fisher Scientific, delivering advanced technical service and support for Chromatography (IC/LC/HPLC/UHPLC) and Trace Elemental (ICP-OES/ICP-MS) instrumentation across the Greater Montreal region and Quebec.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, maintain, and qualify Chromatography (IC/LC/HPLC/UHPLC) and Trace Elemental (ICP-OES/ICP-MS) instruments
  • Build trusted customer relationships that maximize laboratory productivity and performance
  • Provide daily travel within the assigned territory, with occasional overnight travel across Eastern Canada
  • Attend initial and ongoing technical training, primarily conducted in the United States

Requirements

  • Broad analytical instrumentation background across Chromatography and Trace Elemental technologies
  • Experience as a field service engineer
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada at the time of application
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs without assistance
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites (approximately 20% overnight travel) and to the U.S. for training
  • Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) safety standards
  • Use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs) as required
