Responsibilities

• ▹Attend all squad ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standup, review, retrospective) as a full member
• ▹Define acceptance criteria with the Product Owner before each sprint
• ▹Own test architecture for the squad's domain, including the test pyramid across unit, integration, contract, and E2E tests
• ▹Lead performance and load testing, establishing baselines and identifying throughput and concurrency limits
• ▹Own the squad's Definition of Done quality gate as the final internal check before production
• ▹Mentor QA Engineers within the squad and across the chapter
• ▹Deputize for the QA Chapter Lead when needed, representing the squad in the monthly QA Guild
• ▹Own a chapter-level initiative such as a contract-testing framework, performance-testing toolkit, or AI-assisted test generation
• ▹Triage the squad's hardest test failures, distinguishing flaky tests from real regressions

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of QA engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership within a squad
