Responsibilities

• ▹Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models
• ▹Build and maintain DAX measures, calculated columns, and data model relationships
• ▹Configure and manage row-level security (RLS) to enforce HIPAA compliance
• ▹Optimize Power BI solutions for performance at scale (import mode, DirectQuery, composite models, aggregations, incremental refresh)
• ▹Take primary ownership of the production BI environment, independently resolving report bugs and data discrepancies
• ▹Develop enhancements to existing reports based on evolving business requirements
• ▹Lead the full build lifecycle for new Power BI reports and dashboards from requirements through documentation
• ▹Work directly with business stakeholders and end users
• ▹Write and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions
• ▹Partner with the SQL Developer on query optimization and indexing
• ▹Define and enforce BI standards, naming conventions, and semantic model design patterns
• ▹Own the data quality program within the BI layer
• ▹Lead integration of Power BI solutions with the Azure data stack (Synapse, Azure SQL, Data Factory)
• ▹Serve as BI subject matter expert in cross-functional technical discussions
• ▹Provide technical mentorship to associate and mid-level BI developers, leading code and design reviews
