Senior QA Manager - Star Trek Fleet Command

Responsibilities

• ▹Adapt, build upon and direct all QA operations for Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC)
• ▹Oversee both internal and external teams/studios
• ▹Devise QA strategy, manage resources, and administer and coordinate tools
• ▹Work closely with the Senior Leadership team to align on big-picture goals and direction, championing a culture of quality
• ▹Manage the STFC QA Leadership team, spanning all areas of the project
• ▹Define and execute department strategy, striving for continuous improvement in a fast-paced, changing environment
• ▹Proactively drive and educate the business on the importance of a Culture of Quality
• ▹Build on existing team metrics for measuring quality and operational excellence
• ▹Drive and coordinate the 3rd-party offshore QA team, communicating clear expectations and improvement suggestions
• ▹Plan and build an Annual Operating Plan with the Executive Producer, based on project movement and growth
• ▹Ensure STFC releases always meet the highest standard for defect mitigation and user experience
• ▹Investigate serious issues that make it into the live environment and help mitigate future occurrences

Requirements

• ▹Exceptional leadership and managerial skills with proven experience
• ▹Excellent verbal/written communication and excellent attention to detail
• ▹Excellent time management, accountability and organisational skills
• ▹Ability to negotiate and ensure the team's message is heard, with sound business understanding
• ▹Proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated
• ▹Flexible in an agile setup, able to multitask across multiple high-profile releases with strict deadlines
• ▹High level of commercial awareness and understanding of business priorities and goals
• ▹Comfortable travelling occasionally to offshore team locations
• ▹Exceptional reporting capabilities
• ▹Extensive knowledge of JIRA and/or similar bug-tracking systems
• ▹Résumé/CV must be written in English
