Responsibilities

• ▹Collaborate with business analysts, UX designers, graphic designers, integrators, QA analysts and data administrators
• ▹Deliver fully optimized, high-performing features end to end

Requirements

• ▹Canadian citizenship or a valid work permit
• ▹Ability to work in French (spoken and written)
• ▹Minimum 5 years of experience as both a Back-end developer (Java) and a functional analyst
• ▹Mastery of SOLID principles
• ▹Experience with all Java language concepts, including concurrent programming
• ▹Experience proposing and enforcing OO design patterns
• ▹Experience structuring code per organic architecture principles and needs
• ▹Experience developing a web application connected to a relational database
• ▹Experience with Java 8 lambdas
• ▹Experience implementing features using complex technical components (JMS queues, microservices, async tasks, etc.)
• ▹Experience identifying concurrency issues and bugs in code reviews
• ▹Experience analyzing and evaluating the quality of other developers' deliverables
• ▹Experience proposing an optimized physical model for a relational database
• ▹Experience analyzing SQL query performance and proposing improvements
• ▹Experience with other database tools (e.g. indexing/search tools like Elasticsearch, message brokers like Kafka)
• ▹Experience with all features of a version control system
• ▹Experience managing and ensuring the quality of a release process
• ▹Experience with responsive web, usability and accessibility concepts
• ▹Experience with wireframe software (e.g. Axure RP)
• ▹Experience analyzing a complex feature from a business case and mockups
• ▹Experience facilitating workshops and meetings with at least 5 people
• ▹Experience writing functional documents and meeting/workshop minutes
• ▹Experience managing issues and relationships across multiple projects or stakeholders with a user-centric approach
• ▹Familiarity with the web approach and UX concepts
